Metal hoses?

Hi, I've looked at some of the engines on this site and google of what seems to look like some sort of metal hosing? Instead of the black rubber hosing. Could anyone tell me if they can understand what I've said from the poor description what they are and we're to per chase them from. Many thanks.

Are you talking about steel braded lines?

I have not used them, so I cannot provide personal experiences, but there are probably others who can. If you decide to use them "shop around" for the best selection and prices.

Be advised that for the most part (there are exceptions) those lines are an appearance modification only, most of them are NOT the same as the ones used on race cars and airplanes.

Correct
if it secures the end of the hose with a std issue worm drive hose clamp, and the colorful hex shaped end fitting just basically serves to hide the hose clamp, then it is an appearance only item. REAL aviation/ race duty steel sheathed hoses terminate differently.

I used AN fitting hoses between my fuel pump and carburetor and between the transmission and transmission cooler. It is a modest investment for an excellent product. It's much easier to run AN fitting hoses than to bend steel lines. Plus, the AN fitting hoses are abrasion resistant and rated at a higher pressure than rubber hose. I highly recommend using them in your own vehicle.
