May ha figured out why top end has been lacking

I have been watching Vice Grip Garage on YouTube. I wouldn't follow most of what he does, but he uses a lot of fuel filters crippling old cars home. I noticed he used the inline filter I have on my car, but cutting the small ends. I put a larger filter on. Can't test it yet until I straitened out some other issues. May also explain why I seems I have been running lean.

Don’t know if you are aware, but the filter on the right is available with different size hose nipples. Use the larger 5/16” or 3/8” for auto engines; I use 3/8” on my car.

Also, the filter on the left is a copy of the Bosch unit originally for VW beetles. Perfect for a continuous 40HP. x2 on 3/8 filter minimum. And if you are using an external filter, you should be OK to remove the tiny pleated or sintered filter inside the Qjet.

AND, plastic melts and glass breaks. I like metal around my flammables.
