Mannix Toro on Ebay

Just came across this, I never really liked the looks of this car though. For me the only cool factor was that it was an Oldsmobile. It seems the customization of the nose on this 67 resembles the factory style of the 70 Toro. Seems over priced to me as well at 135G's.

Barris being dead will help but I agree that its too much. I don't think the car has a big enough following

But, but, it says right in the ad...

Considered to be one of the best looking cars created for the big screen by Barris

I can't imagine that those Talbot mirrors provide a lot of rearward visibility, especially the one on the passenger side.

The two things that do work for me are the little spoiler on the back & the car phone

I would also say the wire lath mesh in the grill area looks cheap and ill fitting. Also the rear red tailight panel with silver screws showing look cheap as well, and those side pipes, no comment there.

At the time it was a nice conversion. By todays standards, not so much.

Oh my have times have changed, including myself as we all age ( hate that word but it's reality) This stuff does appeal the new generation of "gear heads" much less the Baby Boomers that have retired or are fixing too that are not going to spend the $$$. That said, I have noticed that even the owners of C-2 63-67 Corvettes are beginning to see the drop in prices at the auctions this year as with especially the 50's cars- 55-56-57 Chevy's and other Big Bomb's.

I did always like Joe's secretary, Peggy. Didn't realize that she had such a tough personal life. Died in 2000.
