Lost Rachet Wrench

I misplaced a sears 1/2 inch stubby Rachet wrench while I was working on adjusting the front fenders. It fell down in there some where and I could never figure out where it went too. Well I found it in a most unusual spot. It was just visible inside a hole just in front of the rear tire. It must of some how traveled from the top of a secret compartment in the inner fender down the rocker to the rear of the car. The wrench is no worse for wear and I found my most utilized wrench 2 years after I lost it. Now I have two of them and since I misplace (never lose) them I will always have a spare.

I've had a few tool-eating cars in my life too. The blue 64 Starfire is the all time worst for it. I can't remember how many sockets have disappeared into its engine bay, never to be seen again.

If you haven't already, get yourself one of those telescoping magnetic pickup / tool retreiving tools. Mine has saved me from hours of frustration! Of course it only works if you know where the dropped tool went...

My buddy's 81 Camaro ate a set of Craftsman needle nose pliers years ago. We were never able to find them. I told him he had to add an extra $15 to the selling price of his car, but of course I never got that money.

When I installed the 455 in my 57 I lost 2 9/16 sockets never to be seen again. The car devoured them

If your name is Arnie and you had a car named Christine, you would not need tools! Of course the car would eat your friends...

That Arnie dude was stranger than Christine.
We have Sandy here, you mess with "The Prettiest One" and she would make Christine look like the Care Bears movie.
No joke.

My Vista eats sockets, bolts, and air cleaner wing nuts, I'm down to the one off the old lawn tractor air filter now.
Some people are born with a green thumb... I was born with butterfingers.

The old Oldsmobile engines (394, 371) with the air gap intake were bad. My 64 98 would eat nuts and bolts all the time. They would get stuck under the intake manifold and stay there FOREVER!
