Just curious to know if any of you have noticed that your post counts have dropped. Mine has mysteriously dropped about 3000 posts. Another member mentioned to me that his count has also dropped 1500-2000 as well.

Is there a ghost in the IB machine?

I used this link to validate the lost posts...

Yes, I have a pm to IB to see if we can fix it. I'll follow up.

I don't even know how many posts I have done and don't really care. It is not a contest.

The thread isn't intended to be. It's simply a query to find out how many members were affected. You're right, most people don't keep track of their posts. But I'm sure if you woke up tomorrow and found your post count down to say 52, you'd scratch your head and wonder why??

I don't think it has affected me, if it did it was less than 10.

The only ones I would be interested in would be if I had asked a question and was looking for an answer.

And you wouldn't know that because the posts aren't tracked, right? The only way I'm aware of that the post count is lowered is when the post is deleted. That can only be done by the owner of the post, or a moderator/administrator. I'm still waiting for oldcutlass to return to the thread and let us know what the problem was and if there's a remedy. I would hate to see a lot of information lost with a keystroke. That happened to the New Good Morning Thread (which used to be 'The Good Morning Thread'. A moderator quite by accident deleted the thread and it's thousand of posts that were a community sharing board for members of that thread. Just sayin.

I don't think I have lost any posts. Definitely odd though.

Allan, it looks like it is fixed since you are above 21,000 now.
