Looking for some motor build advice

Hey guys,

I'm looking to build my stock Rocket 350 to push 450 horses or more. Any suggestions or recommendations on the motor build, transmission and rear end upgrade?

Thanks...

Gonna need lots of money for those ponies imo once you cross the 400 hp threshold with an sbo it will cost alot more . A 455 would cost less. But you can build a stout small block for a reasonable price. I'm running 12.50's with a small block between the rear end trans and engine I have no more than 6k

Its in this thread. https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...-i-do-now.html . First page. I have changed a few things like going to full roller rockers and a 750 double pumper vs. the vac. secondaries 750 and 3.90 gears but thats further in that thread.

What are your goals with this car? When its done, what are your expectations?

I will suggest a good running 455 and th400 trans coupled to a 3.23 or 3.42 rear. It will scoot and kill the back tires, if that is what you want.
