Nassau Blue? Polaroids tend to fade, almost looks like Tahitian Turquoise (coming from a colorblind person ).

My 1969 442 was original purchased at Crisconi in Philadelphia. Been trying to find a picture of the dealership in '69., but this is the only one I have ever seen. Still real cool though. If anybody else has some pictures from this dealership, post them or let me know. Thx.

Here are a couple of neat photos of Pryor Oldsmobile in Memphis TN (dealership where my '65 Starfire was originally sold in December, 1964).

My Dads 67 442

Mid60sOldsfan thought I would share a couple of pictures of my dad's 67 convertible. The last we info that we got on the car it was bought by some one in the military and he moved to the East. Your car brings back memories of him working on it. I remember one time he had just installed a Edelbrock Tarantula intake on it and let me close to hood. The bad part is I didn't latch it all the way and it came open going down the road. Boy was he upset with not me but himself for not double checking to ensure it was closed all the way. Luckily there was no damage as a result. Is your car a 4speed?

Lansing restaurant

Circa 1968 just before I was born. A place I have eaten at many times. It's been gone 30 years now.

So how many oldsmobiles you can find. Gleaned from the Lansing state journal.

The cars being shipped by rail reminds me of what was happening in the '60's and '70's .GM was shipping new cars by rail that came near Chattanoga,Tn. going south. For about 3 months when the cars arrived at their destinations ,some of the 4 Speed cars were absent the transmissions and driveshafts.
Took them about 3 months to catch a family of brothers, that lived near the bottom of a steep hill of Signal Mountain (just out of Chattanooga) who were jumping the train, stealing the transmissions and rolling them to the side of the tracks then jumping off where they had a four wheel drive parked ,
to ride back and retrieve the parts that they had thrown off. Larry

Burkhart: I lived in Chi-town till 1965. In 1962-63 I worked at the "backwards K" Nickey Chevrolet after high school as an apprentice mechanic from 3:00 to 11:00 PM in the Local Machines Union. I mostly worked with one of the two Corvair mechanics, as his helper. I consider him my mentor, as he taught me to "do things right and always check your work". Through him I had become to appreciate how good of a car they were and bought myself a new 1964 Corvair Corsa convert. In late 1963 I had enough stamps and time in my Union Card Book to get my Journeymen's Card. I still have a pair of HD jack stands I bought from Nickey and they also have the oval red/white Nicky decal on them!
