Didn't see this one in the FSM.

I wouldn’t be jacking it up in that location.

Wouldn’t you want to Jack it up somewhere that’s not going to risk damaging or scratching the bumper, like perhaps the frame? The CSM doesn’t suggest jacking up on the bumper

You can see the sanding marks over the Bondo on the rear driver's fender. That's from when he fixed it from the last time he lifted his car.

The bumper on the 65 was actually designed to be used to lift the care when changing tires.

But to me it looks as if he is reinstalling the bumper. Looking at the wheel the car is not off the ground at all and there is a large gap between the
top of the bumper and the fender, so i think he is lifting the bumper up into place.

Looks to me like he is aligning the bumper and bolting it up.

It also looks like he’s holding the bumper in place with his head. Who knows what is actually going on here. 65’s aren’t the only years the bumper Jack was used to change the tire, all cars I know of were jacked up by the bumper in the day.

I agree. Note the exhaust is hanging down, so he's likely installing the bumper brackets and associated hardware.

Good thoughts. My revised guess is that he's pulling the bumper for paint, and the floor jack is an extra pair of hands.
Here's where I saw that photo: No Reserve: 1965 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible 4-Speed Project for sale on BaT Auctions - ending June 18 (Lot #151,199) | Bring a Trailer
