Just wondering

Hi guys how ya'll doing? I got a quick question I have a 1972 cutlass supreme with a 1970 olds 350r it had a edelbrock #1406 with a bad accelerator pump I had a 800 cfm qaudrajet already built so I went through the trouble of converting it back to the quadrajet now my question is it worth it rebuild the edelbrock and keep on the shelf for later or sell it. Because i really dont know anything about this carb. Any thoughts on this would be helpful. And on a another note did my 72 come with a 3 point seat belt system or not, because its missing all the front seat belts. And thanks again

I'd rebuild the Edelbrock and save or sell. I'll let someone else answer the question of the seat belts.

The 1400 AVS series carbs are very simple and easily to rebuild. I believe the 1406 is a 600 CFM unit. IMO a 800 CFM is slightly over carbing the 350? Be interested to see how the 350 will run.
Do you see signs of the shoulder belt option such as the clips along the roof rail? AK1 is the deluxe belts not sure if that included the AS6 shoulder belt for 72. Im pretty sure in 72 it was optional not mandatory yet. If you have the build sheet look for those codes.
