My buddy Harry owns a '70 SS396 Chevelle convertible and he's attending the AACA Grand National event out in Iowa this weekend. He sent me a few snaps of one of his competitors. Thats Harry's Chevelle in the background.
That 71 is a beautiful car. Very nicely done. I love the colors. White interior's always work for me. Got pictures of his Chevelle? I love a Chevelle too.
Thanks for sharing 👍

I find it refreshing when Chevy people use the CORRECT code 75 Cranberry Red on musclecar-era cars. Cranberry is a deeper red with some blue and violet in the mix. Most go for the brighter Corvette Monza Red or god forbid Porsche Guards Red. Red ain't red.
There's a fellow here with a nice 70 Monte Carlo, AACA quality restoration. Code 75 by the data plate. He had several arguments with his painter over matching the color because the painter wanted to use the Corvette red, saying it would make the car pop more.
MC owner finally said the car wasn't being restored to impress the local cruise night yokels, it was going for AACA level judging and the color would be correct before the painter was paid.
