Jet Hot coating colors, who has experience

Does anyone have experience with Jet Hot? I am wondering what their satin silver looks like? I called them and I can't really get any pictures of a finished product. I need my coatings to look aluminum color. Not sure how close they would look? My other question is, if it lowers the temp as much as they claim, could I paint over the coating with high heat paint and it hold up.

The Hedman Hedders on my 71 98 were thermal coated from the factory. While it isn't the Jet Hot brand I'm pretty sure it's the same coating. I can't comment on the Jet Hot colors but the coating on my headers does little for temperature reduction under the hood. The silver color has held up pretty good over 8 years though, with only a little wear and pitting. Hope this helps.

Do you know if any of their colors look even close to aluminum?

Hedman uses Jet-hot to coat their headers. That's what they told me when I purchased mine from them. I got the ceramic coating, looks like aluminium to me. I think it helps to keep the heat down .

I guess I'm not used to headers on other cars. The Hedman headers on my 71 98 are quite a bit hotter than stock manifolds. Of course, that's just using the WAG therom, I've never measured the temp with an infrared thermometer or anything.

I haven't measured the under hoods temps either, although I did take out the weatherstripping that seals across the firewall to the hood. Gives me a little more airflow through the top of the engine bay.
So far heat hasn't been an issue in my case.
