This is the tunnel work neccessary to install a Ross Racing Engines 394/700r4 conversion in to my 1962 Starfire to get the 3 degree tail shaft down angle and the 0 degree side to side and 0 degree fwd and aft on the carb mounting pad.

Hopefully your 394 is tired, the 700R4 is not a strong trans, stock especially. Yeah the servo is in the way, Joe P mentions that is the reason a 4L80E fits better. A floor shifter will cover tail shaft protrusion.

Awesome. Let us know how she runs. It's got to be better than that Slim Jim Rotohydramatic.

Newly o/hauled 394 and 700r4. Not planing on drag racing.
Have made a cover for the tail shaft and am working on the servo cover. The cooling lines are a problem..
Using a Shiftworks 64-65 gto/Lemans shift kit. Nice install.
