Idiot light question

I'm wanting to use both idiot lights and s/w gauges on my 66 442. I have an edelbrock manifold on the car. When I went to install the idiot light temp sender, I found that the mounting hole was to small to accommodate the sender. Is there a sender with smaller threads that I can use?

Don't get just any sender, it has to be matched to the gauge. I would call Stewart Warner. They must offer senders or bushings for all popular threads.

The idiot light sender is simply an off/on switch. Any idiot light sender that fits will work fine.

Is the temp gauge electric or mechanical? If electric, S/W should offer a dual-contact sender that will run both the gauge and warning lamp.
