Hurst Dual Gate

Hello All,

Will any hurst dual gate be compatible with my TH400? I know GTO also had a Hurst Dual Gate, will a GTO HDG work in my '69?
Thanks,
Alex

Should be just the shift cable that you would have to check on. All 69 H/Os had the dual gate shifter with the TH400.

And i dont see why not that it would work with the GTO shifter.

Better check the shifter's mounting base/plate. I know they had Dual Gates in A-bodies after '72 which had a different floor than the '64-'72s. Also the handle differs on Pontiac applications.

Thanks, Im currently gathering all of the supplies to switch from a bench and tree shifter to Buckets and a center console most ideally with a Dual Gate. Just trying t make sure this isn't some huge difference between Pontiac and Olds HDG that would make it extremely difficult to interchange.

Oh man seriously.......I struggled with this so long and decided to stay with the bench/ tree combo. Keep us posted on how it goes. What's your budget looking like?

For the 4 years Ive owned the car Ive always wanted to make the change. Ive finally made the first leap. I bought a 69 Center Console. Im looking for buckets seats and a DG. There seems to be a variety of Dual Gates some for olds, Pontiac and Chevy and I wanted to find out if they were somewhat interchangeable. Im not going as far to change the steering column or speedometer....yet. Looking to spend 300-550 on Bucket Seats, which is reaching a bit but OPGI makes a decent repo-seat if I cant find something else. Looking to spend up to 300 on a DG preferable with the majority of components and Im contemplating on how to inlay the '70 DG Top Plate into the 69 Top Plate.
