How to remove **** on TIC-Tac ??

I'm getting ready to paint the inside part of my Rally Pack Gauges. I'm trying to figure out how to remove the clock adjustment know without breaking it, so I can paint the black ring also...

Thanks, Pat

Look closely at the **** and you will see that there is a small screw head in the middle of it. Use a jeweler's screwdriver to remove the screw (which actually has female threads to go over the shaft) and the **** comes right off.

I just checked all over that ****, no screw.. Its an aftermarket Rally Pack, so it must not be like the original..

typically I have seen a tiny flat on the shaft just under the ****. grip the shaft with your best smallest needle nose pliers and unscrew the ****.
