How do you show video of what a vehicle is doing.

Was trying to post a video of my fuel filter after warmed up gas is literally spurting into filter. Totally random no consistency to it. So weird. It's a mechanical fuel pump shouldn't it have a rythm to it. However when your cruising down the road no worries. I am so out of tune with this classic car. I want to do things myself. This so far is kicking my butt.

The best method to post a video is to post the video to YouTube, then post the YouTube (share) URL link here in your post.

Is there an actual problem, or are you just looking at your clear fuel filter. An easy fix for this problem is to trash that filter and use a Wix 33033.

Yes problem is when car is at normal operating temp. Won't start unless you hold the accelerator to floor while cranking for 15 seconds. No choke problem. No cranking problem. Going to snoop into fuel delivery.

My point is that the variation in flow is normal. The metal filter prevents you from seeing it an losing sleep over it. I'll ask the question again: does the car run fine otherwise?

Fuel filter

Yes when driving down the road runs normal no loss of power. Just trying to nail down when engine is at operating at normal temp. Very hard to restart. Starter cranks fine. Choke is wide open. Of course now after several times of this happening starter is not happy. I will post when I fix problem/s. Including parts and etc. Seems to be a common topic with multiple solutions. Going through all testing and checking. Will let all know. Grateful to all that responded. I'm sure Patience and trouble shooting will prevail.

What does "very hard to restart" mean? Does the starter crank at the right speed? Did you verify that there is fuel in the carb by checking the accelerator pump squirters? What carb do you have. What other non-stock things have been done to the engine?

Are you pumping the throttle at all before you attempt to restart. Have you bought yourself a Factory Chassis Service Manual for you car, it has full sections on all the different systems on your car, including trouble shooting problems.

you should not need to pump it when warm, probably slightly flooding it when doing this if engine is warm.
pumping is used when cold to set choke and spray in some fuel.

try just turning it over when hot and see if it fires.
