How about these babies

Sorry it's not Miss Scantly clad in a fanny flosser.

I bought these some time back and I have decide to freshen up the Vistas engine bay. It's not bad but a 69 455 is spose to be red not blue [and I like the red better.

Zo, I decided to yank the 455 clean her down and paint her the same color as a 455 69 H/O and put these valve covers on her and use this air cleaner. Whatcha think?

I zink I'm jealous. WHEN and WHERE did you get them? They are totally awesome. They'll fit in just perfect with the red lettering on the 455. BTW how much (if you don't mind) did you pay for these beauties?

Thanks for the link Jamesbo. I checked it out. Not too bad. $130.00?? It might wait a little bit until the other more expensive stuff is done. But I'm definitely interested. I sent them an email. None of the pictures shows the 350 listed on the valve cover, so I'm waiting to hear back. Can't remember, but will the 445 covers also fit the 350? I'm thinking no.

I'm not sure but I think we will make anything you want. I never met him but when you speak to him on the phone he sounds kinda gruff. But he ended up being very fair with me. I [dumbo] ordered the wrong ones that wouldn't fit and I put a small scratch in one. He took the wrong ones back polished the scratch out [at no cost to me] and sent me the right ones. But he does sound like someone who would wrap a tire iron around your head just for the fun of it.

I guess it's just dis ole southen boy ain't use to talk'in tos guys in Chicaga.

It's a whimsical thing, the only Hurst thing on my Vista is the sticker that says, "Hurst Equipt" on the tail gate. It has absolutely no Hurst anything on the wagon. Keep em guessing. She also has one of those dash board emblems that reads "Do not lower windows in excess of 120 miles per hour"

It's just FUN

p.s. There really isn't a "Tiger in my Tank"

Nice Vista

I've teased my wife ever since "That 70's Show" was on TV that I was gonna buy her a Vista Cruiser and sell her van. She doesn't think it's funny. I would love to have one! Nice looking VC!

Jamsbo,

I agree its fun to keep em guessing. Went to a local gathering spot last night about 20 rods there, as always I was the only Oldsmobile there. Opened the hood and then just stood around and watched the reactions of the lookers as they tried to figure out if the 455 was the stock engine or not. Kind of fun just to listen to people talk had a good time. This happens every friday night weather permiting. And yes you do have a tiger in your tank I can see the tail from here.

The VC's are cool I would love to have one. Don't see them around here, If I could find a decent fixer I would add it to my collection.

How about one of those chrome air cleaner lids embossed with the Oldsmobile logo from GM performance? Throw in the Olds rocket wing nut for good measure?
