Ok, No question a dumb question right!?!?😝

Am I missing a part on my car? The spring latch on my car rubs against my newly painted hood ever time I shut the hood. Is this how it’s supposed to be?


I’d imagine not.

 

The spring wouldn't be of any use if it didn't push up on the underside of the hood. Normally that area is not body color. You can try getting a small square of stainless sheet and securing it there with double-stick tape.
