Sorry, I should have posted that 4-14 late when I got the info on OCA Facebook.I received a call yesterday from one of the committee members notifying me that it was cancelled! Would have been my 25th straight year for going 23 with a car.

Sorry to hear this but I'm not surprised. I will miss seeing you and Brett and others Pat. I am going to see if I can donate my already paid admission back to the REOlds Chapter. The costs of refunding will be huge I bet. I have the feeling things won't be back to normal at least into 2021, if ever...

Homecoming Cancelled.. donate paid entry fee??

Well I have heard the Oldsmobile Homecoming 2020 has been canceled. I have already paid my entry fee as I'm sure many others have. I am going to contact the REOlds chapter and ask them to keep my $15.00 fee which I have already paid. I am asking you who have already paid to donate it to the chapter also. My thoughts are that the costs of refunding the payments and the loss of the income from the meet will be devastating to the chapter. I am going to email a board member and see if this is possible. I will update when I find out. Thanks Olds friends, Greg.

That is great idea Greg, hopefully everyone will follow suit.
It will be a blow to the Lansing economy as well.
I wish they would have just moved the date out, like many
other events have.

Well, that idiotic demonstration in Lansing yesterday might've just extended the timeline for stay-at-home. We can remain hopeful it did not, but there were too many people gathered in close proximity and without masks. It was not an isolated event, as the news has shown -- OH, KY, NC also had protests at their state capitals yesterday.

The only thing idiotic is the senseless rules imposed by the governor.
At least the American spirit can’t be locked down.

I guess you guys can't see the forest thru the trees. Sadly, attitudes like these will only prolong actions taken. It's not political, just common sense.

Regardless of your feelings, stay safe and stay healthy.
