Not making it to the nationals

I had a couple deals worked out and I must apologize because I will not be able to go to the Nationals this year. My dad has to have open heart surgery on the 20th. I will try to send PMs to everyone I had some deals worked out with to make other arrangements.

Family comes first, no apologies necessary! I will not be in New Mexico for 2017 we have Hawaii on the radar at the same time! Last vacation as a family step son will be 17 and we have not done a big vacation since 2013.

Best wishes for your dad!

Pat

Eric,
X 2 on what Pat said about family.
If any of your deals involves delivering or picking up parts, I will have an empty pickup truck more than likely both ways. Maybe I could meet you halfway or something the day before I leave if you need to deliver something. Your only 1-1/4 hours away if we meet in the middle..... Just throwing it out there.

Take Care,
Rick

Dad

Eric while the camaraderie and fraternity we all find in our car world is good, nothing matters more than our family. Best wishes for a smooth and speedy procedure for your father and your entire family

Take care
Brett

Sorry to hear that Eric. Hope all works out. I had open heart surgery in 2009, so hopefully your dad's situation works out as well as mine. We'll get together on the hood some other time.

I talked to Scott and I believe he is bringing it to you. Scott has been a hero on this entire hood ordeal. That guy I was dealing with had me nervous for a while. I was just getting ready to PM you till I seen this.

Want to say thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. They found an aneurysm in the aorta where it attaches to the heart and other arteries. (I very likely do not have that stated correct).... They found it 2 years ago but it has not grown at all till now. Now it is way beyond the dangerous level and they want to get him in ASAP. They were honest with him and they said the location is about the worst spot you could have one. The doctors feel very confident in what needs done because my dads health is very good overall. He is 63 and in better shape than I am. It don't help that they are in the middle of building a new house and about ready to move in. He was likely doing more than he should have been. The doctor said that he should not have been doing as much as he was but at the same time said that was not likely the reason it got bigger either.

Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers.

I think they mean bypass surgery (coronary artery bypass surgery), which is one of the most common surgeries performed in the U.S. these days.

Well dang- I was hoping to meet you this year but family has to come first. I'm just hoping I don't get a call that week about my Aunt Rene. 91 yrs old and worn out... but she still loves her Oldsmobiles even if she has stopped driving.

Take care of yourself and your dad.

Sorry to hear this Eric. I was away for a week and just saw this thread. I'm definitely hoping for the best doctor to have his hands on him and also for God to keep watch. I really wish I was closer to you to help you out. I lost your number because I had to get a new phone. Call me anytime.

I am sure you Dad will do well Eric. I am turning 70 Saturday and this kind of stuff gets my attention. I have been fortunate so far. Thoughts and prayers are with your Dad and all your family.
