Help needed to indentify Q-jet

I've had this Q-jet on my shelf for over 20 years without thinking to much about it until recently when I went looking for a 69 442 carb I thought I had and needed for project. I was checking stamp codes to find the 69 Q-jet and saw this one that has no stamp code on the main body. Can't find information on Google regarding unstamped carbs either.

From the spec card I made back in the day, it looks to be a good big block carb and I'm thinking I can rebuild this and use it on my 455.

Would this be a service replacement Q-jet or did it escape the stamp code?

FYI...this would have been removed from a wrecking yard car back in the 90's, but I just don't remember what car it was on. And no I can't find the 69 carb.

Any help would be appreciated.

Using "7037130 carb base" into google gives at least two references to 1969 both related to ebay.

I don't see an integrated auto choke which might lend it for use with a divorced choke like a 69 would have.

Thats all I got.

Brushed the area you mentioned and found these.
Do you mean these numbers? what do they mean?

Thanks anthonyP

Year & Application Carb # Main Jet Primary Rod Secondary Rod

1968-
400/455 7028251 7031971 7034849- "49B" 7033655- "AU"
455 Toro 7028252 7031971 7034849- "49B" 7033655- "AU"

Looks like its application would have been for one of these two only.
Why no carb stamp on the main body though...service replacement??

Carb was produced 191st day of 68. Could be early 69 production.
We have seen several Olds and Buick Quadrajets from 68 69 that have no roll stamp and no disc for code.
It can be set up for whatever you want at this point.
If you can tell me what the jets and primary rods are, I may can tell you what the original application was.
Looks like a nice carb

From what I can see of the partial picture of your throttle lever, it looks to be a '69 Toro "252" carb. With no #s stamped on the main body it was probably replaced at a dealer back in the day because of stripped fuel inlet or other "damage".

The 7028251 and 7028252 had those parts. Both 455. The 252 was toronado.

Those are the only 2 that had that combination of parts.

Ok, thank you.

From the information gathered so far this carb looks to be a service replacement for a 1968 Toronado.
Maybe replaced over the counter in 69.

Good one to rebuild.

Cheers

I would think it is original production and not service replacement based on date code. Same difference really, but it should work out well for you.
