Help Identify Wheel Covers

I have six 15" wheel covers that I am not sure on their application. My guess from searching around is that they are from '55 but I see where they get included in a range of years by some. They belong to a friend who's father had them and she knew I was into Oldsmobiles so here I am trying to figure out what they are. They are in good condition. The white paint looks like it was hand painted. Once I know what they are I'll post them in the parts for sale section. Thank you for your help.

My first thought was a Fargo Truck. Dodge built and sold by Plymouth/Chrysler in Canada. They used a globe of North and South America in their grilles and wheelcovers. I did a quick search but came up empty-ish. This '51 is not like yours, but shows the style.

Adam thanks for the link to the Fargo Truck. Nice looking rig with a cool logo. What I do know about these wheel covers is that they are from an Olds. Most likely a '55 but they might be correct for other years too.

How could I be so dumb. The Olds Service symbol was a globe too. I checked my maintenance manuals. My 55 is missing the front cover but the '54 looks like this. It has a uniform width bar/equator through the glode.

where my 1952 has a tapered bar/equator.

Then did a little more searching and found this 55 Olds 98

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3261045

these look like your wheel covers.

If you scan through these pictures some look like your in the '54s, '55. and '56s.

Good luck narrowing it down.

54-55. Same Oldsworld motif used on dogbowls; Fiesta caps had spinners with a crest instead of Oldsworld.

The same Oldsworld motif is used on all the banners at the top of this page too.

I think I copied the one on the banners that I did from either a trunk lid or hood pic?

They are not real Oldsmobile hubcaps...Oldsmobile never made a car with six wheels.

They are correct for 54 and 55 and probably 56.

They are for 1955 for sure and I believe 1954 had the same. However, they are not for 1956 which used a new full wheel cover as well as a new Fiesta (spinner) wheel cover.

AGREED! These appear to be for 54-55s but NOT '56s...these guys are right. How much do you think you want for them? (Would you or your neighbor break up the "Set of Six?" : >)

The 54 and 55 used the Fiesta wheelcover (see the 54 below my signature) and the 56 used the Starfire spinner that was very popular with customizers. Now that you mention it, I do remember the 56 having a different wheelcover.
