I have a 1968 cutlass convertible and need help decoding the body tag number. Any help would be great.

First of all, where you mention the top of the tag says C68. 2.2, I'm betting the first part of it really says 06B. That is the "time build code" and 06B would be June (06), second week of that month (B), 1968. I don't know what the "2.2" means. There is a "2" ever so slightly stamped into the top right of trim tag that I don't know what it means as well.

ST 68 = style/model year = 1968

33667:

3 = GM Division = Oldsmobile

36 = model series = Cutlass V8

67 = body type = convertible

BL = assembly plant = Linden NJ

1651 BODY = body number (has no relation to the VIN)

TR 947 = interior color and front seat type = parchment color interior with strato-bucket seats

K 1 PAINT = lower body color and convertible top color = ocean turquoise (K = lower body color) with a white convertible top (1).
