I'm trying to pull the console so I can clean it and have the car ready for new floor pans. Afraid if I go poking around I might have spring popping out on me. I have the **** off but the part you pull or grab below the **** is what has me stumped. Any help would greatly appreciated.

On the lower part of the "T" where your fingers would go there's a split pin.
Pop it through and your golden.
