A 455 would have G heads in 1971.

That depends on what you are happy with? Heads get swapped so it does not for sure mean the engine is a 71 455. It could be newer or older or a 400 or 425 or even a small block. You need to see if there is an F on the block where water pump mounts and that will determine if it is a 455. 1971 was the 1st year for lower compression pistons and hardened valve seats. Still a nice engine for a street car.

I'm not a 455 expert, but, I think all 455's had "F" or "Fa" blocks.
Early 455's were "F" and later were"Fa".
If you ARE talking about a "G" block, correct '67 block should be an "E" block.
Although "G" block is not correct for '67, it still has value to the '68-'69 guys.
You might be able to work a trade with someone for an "E" block.
