Question Great books

What would you guys say are the best books for someone new to bodywork and major mechanical overhauls? Possibly a good resto book that deals mainly with tools and construction techniques for cars from the 60/70's? I have a Mondello Olds engine book, A Chilton repair manual, and Haynes books for auto wiring and auto body work.

I went on EBAY and bought an original used Olds chassis and body manual and a Haynes manual for my car, they have tons of good info and they where cheap.

I forgot to exclude the GM manuals from this. I plan on getting those. My brother says the factory manuals for his Harley are useless unless you already know how to do everything. They say things like "Remove the engine" but have no info or instruction as to how. Are the GM books better than that? A good book on basic engine assembly would be good too. Thanks.

The GM manuals are good and the Harley manuals are good also but you need to have there parts manuals also which shows exploded views of everything, I have them for all my bikes. I also forgot to mention that I also found a copy of the original assembly manual that the assembly plants used to teach the linemen how to assemble the cars, it has tons of info and a lot of part #'s it shows all kinds of stuff that the regular manual doesn't.
