Good day today

I was at my DMV today for 3 hrs to take my eye test. I just got glasses on Tuesday so I was ready. As you know I have had eye problems for over a year getting the bleeding to stop with lazer and then injections for over 12 Months now and just got glasses to pass the test. I did PASS so a good day now on to the next thing.

I'm so glad for you. My MIL has always loved to read, and sadly her eyesight has faded to near blindness over the last few years. I can't think of anything more frustrating. Best of luck!

Why so long? Is that because of the nature of the eye test, or is it simply because this is California we're talking about, and that's the way life is in California? I have heard horror stories about the immense lengths of time it can take to do anything in person at a California DMV office.

What it is is that sub-highschool education functional morons are running the DMVs and if you fail their machine, they fail you. No one who is not an optometrist or ophthalmologist should ever be testing for vision. Also, most DMV people are racist as all hell.

time line: First I had a drop of blood falling down from top to bottom of my eye inside. Then I had Laser done to stop the bleeding then eye injections every Month then I got Cataracts from the injections and then months later I had them taken out. The problem I had was in 1999 I had Lassic done on my eyes and no longer wore glasses then Diabetes set in and now I have it under control but the damage was done. I did pass the eye test so life goes on. They just couldn't get the eye right with even glasses on my right eye but with both eyes I'm good. Last Sept was the last time I had my lic. and been on a temp lic. till now.
