Sometimes it's good to do nothing

This Memorial Day weekend for the first time in 3 months, I have nothing that needs to get done.

No soccer games to coach. No scout functions to attend with my sons. No parts to install on the Olds. No relatives to visit, and none coming to my house. Lawn is mowed. House has been pressure washed. Deck has been stained. Garden is in the ground and the flowers have been planted.

My plan for this 3 day weekend is...NOTHING! I am just going to wake up sometime in the morning and see what we will see.

As it was said in History of the World part 1, "It's good to be the king".

As I grow older I really appreciate the days when there is absolutely nothing pushing to get done. I don't get that luxury often.

Used to think I had to stay busy all the time. I've realised there is absolutely nothing wrong with sitting on yer **** and accomplishing nothing once in a while.

Crack open a cold one and let's enjoy!

Time to go for a ride.
That's where I am heading now, down to California highway 1, ride along the coast and see where it takes me. No kids, no wife, no friends just me and the car. Today is my day.

I lost a brother-in-law yesterday at 2:00 pm. I'm not really sure now what this weekend will be like for me. my mind is numb.
