I'm getting rid of this intake and carb and going back to a stock intake or an Edelbrock 04B with a Quadrajet. I know I need a throttle bracket, springs, choke tubes, fuel line and bolts, not only for the carb,
but intake as well. Anything else you guys see that I might need? I'm going to post in Parts Wanted and want to be sure to get everything.
Buy a Q-jet from a reputable remanufacturer who will reset the carb to the factory settings, rebush the throttle shafts, and maybe, install an electric choke(better than the hot air choke)

I have one that was wrapped in plastic that came with the car.
Just curious as to why you would ditch the Performer 455 for an 04B?
I prefer a stock/stockish look. I would prefer a W30 intake but funds aren't readily available for that now. Also I have an OAI hood and the OAI air cleaner doesn't work with the height of the Performer. And the Performer is a square bore and I want to lose the Demon for a spread bore Quadrajet.
But you say your Performer has a square bore flange? That is different than my Performer 455 which has a spreadbore carb flange. I guess actually it has dual mounting holes, for both square and spreadbore carbs. But yeah, maybe a bit too tall for the OAI setup.

My understanding is that they were available in either spread bore or square bore. The secondaries on the Quadrajet are much bigger than the square bore carbs.
