To go double headlight or not.....

It's a poll, so cast your vote.

I've been toying with the idea of going to a double headlight setup.
In other words, instead of having my outer lights for headlights, and the inner lights for brights......

I want to swap out the brights for a 2nd pair of headlights.
What do you guys think ? Wiring it up is simple with relays for all 4 headlights.
The stock wiring will just trigger the relays for the headlights when the switch is pulled.

As for having brights, I can make all 4 brights as well.
I just need to order another set of these.

This is kinda what I want. Only all the time.

I would be fore it from a safety and vision standpoint, rather than for looks. I do have to say it looks cool though (as long as they they are not blue, purple, green, etc...)
If you keep the relays, plugs, and extra wiring concealed, noone should be easily able to tell.
I would not hack any of the factory wiring, in the event you or the next owner wished to return to stock form...

Well, you already have four lights on high-beam, since the outboard "low beam" lamps have both filaments (thus the three wires). As for having four low beam lights, expect every oncoming driver to flash their high beams at you.

Heck just use old lights, or find old T3s, the brights aren't even that bright and you can use them all the time, but I'm with Joe on this, even if they are not bright, I suspect you may have a bunch of people flashing their headlights on and off at you. Though just last night I was at a car show and was playing with my lights while in the lot. I probably drove 5 miles with the brights on by mistake and no one flashed me, though I have original T3s so they are not that bright to begin with

Being from the area in which you live I can see that causing some issues with the local leos. I have seen guys get pulled for having driving/fog lights on with their headlights, let alone having what looks to be your brights on all the time.

And yes you will get flashed A LOT from on coming traffic thinking you have your brights on.

I Have to say stick with stock. As Joe already said, you'll be flashing your lights at every oncoming car to prove that you don't have your high beams on. Or, you can just drive around with your high beams on all the time. You'll still have to flash back at every oncoming car but at least it won't cost you anything and if you grow tired of doing that all the time, it's only a "foot press" away.

Figured that was common knowledge.

You really think if all of them are lined up at the proper height that's going to happen ??
Then again, people might think I have my brights on.......so you got a point there.

I did get brights flashed at me for the HID's I had before in my 2000 Jimmy.
The BURST they threw out was just so vibrant.

Must have been quite some time ago bud.
Every vehicle made these days for the most part has 4 lights on it.
Don't you recall the 90's Trans Am's ?? Grand prix's, new Mustangs, hell even the old Mustangs etc.

I think every single modern car......hell even my Lexus ES300 has them always on.

You would be surprised as to how many people ask about it.

Nope. Pretty much just GM, Toyota, and Saab have the DRLs. Of course, they are mandatory in Canada.

I wasn't talking about Daytime Running Lights.
DRL's are typically your regular headlights on during the day.

I'm talking about the fog lights most cars have these days that you can run
at all times with your regular headlights. Ford, Honda, and Chrylser as well.

Almost every Sedan has them on the lower front fascia. Pontiac brought this style back in the 90's IMHO.

My Montana and Intrigue have the parking lights as DRL's, not the headlights. Now I'm confused. Do you want to make your car look like it has it's high beams on all the time (like the Demolition Man 442 in the pic you posted) even when the low beams are on or are you looking to add two fog lights ( and run 2 headlights and 2 fog lights all the time? ), or when you put the brights on there wil be 6 lights on the car, 4 headlights and 2 fog lights?

He wants to add two more low beam lights and thus making all 4 lights low and high beam.

I was thinking that most of the GM's with factory fog lights, they only are on with the low beams. I had a Bonneville and that was how it worked.

That is correct. But I'm not concerned with fog lights.
I want double sets of headlights basically.
