Ive been running a holley 750 dp with a the edelbrock torker 455 manifold. This combo has worked great for me. Its on a mostly stock 71 455 G-head motor and will run in the high 13s. Only problem I ever had was with plastic choke linkage continually breaking.

Oldsguy had a Holley carburetor on his 455 with a Torker intake in his 69 Delta 88. The Holley never worked right. Of course, it was a used one he got from a friend. Even with a rebuild kit it was always finicky. If you get a new one you should be fine.

I ran a 3310 780 on my Pontiac 455.(not a dp) I love the Holleys. Lots of parts available. That carb worked very well for me.

I played with a Torker in 1975. It was designed for a Quadrajet, so the spread bore Holley 800 worked a lot better than a straight line Holley double pumper that I tested also.

I used a 650cfm spreadbore on a stock 425. It had mechanical secondaries and was a great carb. The double pumper comes (came) in many different styles.

You might look into the holly avenger series I have a 770 CFM Avenger on a Edelbrock performer manifold on my 455 and am very happy with the performance. Edelbrock just came out with a preformer rpm manifold for the 455 which is supposed to be a better setup. I am going to look into it for my 48 Olds
