Glass Cleaner

Any suggestions on how to how to remove 48 years of wear on glass? The windows on my 67 are spotty, minor scratches but overall clear. Would a soft abrasive cleaner help? Thanks to all!

I use 000 and 0000 steel wool - nothing works better for me but it makes a hell of a mess - have a vacuum cleaner handy to pick it all up.

Use a clay bar. The same one that you would use to smooth out imperfections in the paint works wonders at removing years worth of film from windshields.
