Garage Musing

Having a beautiful morn in the garage, tunes up, doin some glueing on an item. Waiting as it dries, thinking builds.
I'd like to see a Cord body on a Toronado chassis.
What do you guys vision for builds?

If our Solstice GXP convertible blows up the 2.0 turbo engine one day then they do the LS3 6.2 swap in these and WOW

My Father In Law is thinning the herd. On the chopping block are a 54 Ford F250 with perfect patina and a 95 F150 4X4 with a totally rusted out body, rebuilt motor and 5 speed.

I'd like to marry the two together.

Non-Olds My first roadable car, 70 Duster with a 440. The muscle Mopar they didn't build.
This is all "money no object thinking", so I won't get it done.

After attending Mecum Indy, this...

..with a modern ProTouring style chassis , a serious updated (EFI, HEI,etc) BBO , 5/6 speed & wheels/tires that somehow are modern performance, but look like the pic.

I would like to take the drive train of a toronado and make trike. Probably have to add some weight to the front.

Railguy I use to pass by one of those sitting in a yard in Florence Alabama in the mid seventies. Just figured he must have had a early Toro totaled, and decided to make good use of the engine, but I don't remember anything about the front end being weighted.

I have been considering a full frame rear wheel drive W-Body Cutlass Supreme SL Coupe... If they were good enough for drag racing, why not a nice street cruiser...

Ahh Ted you crazy bugger LOL.
Me I'm trying to think about getting our garage back since my son has two Honda prelude cars he's working on with his buddy. Not that I do much work on our cars haha. Just the thought of having a garage again could get me interested in building something.

I have a 73 vega I'd like to turn in to a rat rod or at least start. It's kinda a barn find but I don't know if it qualifies because I was the one that put it in the barn ,actually wagon shed.

I always thought it would be cool to put a Ford 6.2L modular V10 into a 1970 LTD.

I used to dream about something similar when I had my '88 Int'l Series Indy 500 Pace Car replica that was a great looking car for the time. Very comfortable & handled well, & had that oh-so-cool digital dash, but horribly under powered (like 140 HP?) & 'WrongWheelDrive'.

I figured the way was to somehow merge F-body parts with it. Aside from the huge amount of fab required, keeping the low hood with a big front V8 seemed like it would be an issue. Of course this was way before the internet so I had no idea if it could be done without a NASA project budget. Now you can google W-body RWD conversions & see several. Mostly W-body Monte Carlos.
