Installed the Hot Dawg I picked up from a friend today. Was a little challenging but the ratchet straps did the trick with a bit of ingenuity.
At least my Winters won't be wasted anymore.
I think this one is a 30k BTU one. Guy across the street has a MUCH larger two car garage and has a 145k Hot Dawg. Says it heats up in about 5m, lol.
I've been checking them out the past year since I removed my wood-burning stove last fall. I like the Hot Dawg and I've been looking at numerous other manufacturers. My building is 30'x40'x14' (16,800 cubic ft.)
While I have nat gas in the house, I bought one of these kerosene heaters for the garage last year when I needed to pull my engine, it was on sale at the end of the season for, I want to say $69. Its 23800 btu and warms my 700ish sqft garage nice and toasty.

REZNOR is good stuff. I bought a salvage one for $100 OVERKILL
still works 20 years later
I did have to remove all the expensive and special ignition parts .. went with standing pilot like an olds water heater and thermostat on the wall
Hmmmm. I have that same heater, 75k BTU NG. Bought NiB Craigslist a few years back, $100. For my 25x40x10 detached garage, uninsulated. Was holding off on installing due to aforementioned lack of insulation, but now thinking otherwise. Wouldn't see regular use, but would definitely ease the winter chill. NG line is adjacent to garage, and right where I'd locate the heater, so only a ~12' pipe run. Hmmmm.
with walls and ceiling insulated my 75k btu heats very nicely.i insulated with material commonly known as "fanfold" it's used under vinyl siding,3/8 inch thick with shiny foil both sides.4 ft by 50 ft bundle.only r4 rating but produces quite a bit of light reflection .
I put in one of the hot-dawg heaters when I built my garage back in 2004 I can't remember but I think it's a 60k btu Ng model. It's so nice to have heat during our crappy Ohio winters. I leave it at around 50-55 degrees all winter(I have a bathroom in the garage & don't want the pipes to freeze) When I'm out playing I kick it up a bit. The building & doors are well insulated & it stays nice & comfy & the heater hardly comes on. The first winter I had the garage I used a kerosene heater just like the one "oldcutlass" showed. I was finishing up the wiring & rough in for the toilet room. It wasn't even insulated yet & that heater really did a nice job of warming up the garage!!!
I do have a propane tank heater but that is ok if you just want to take the chill out but the exhaust gases are my concern. The Hot Dawg will vent right out the back with it's on exhaust pipe. It will have a thermostat and an on/off switch so it's not on needlessly when I'm not out there. This was a used one I picked up for $300.
