Full Vinyl top on 1983 Delta coupe?
I've finally decided to give the car a much "needed" cosmetic uplift, and I settled on an oxblood red color. In doing so the ratty vinyl top currently on needed to go, and my dad found his new (old stock) tan colored piece he had bought for his 68' LeSabre years ago. He mentioned using the full sheet and giving the car a full vinyl top. Being that the 1/4 top is the norm, I'm curious if anyone else has done this to get a visual. Now I am aware it really takes away its factory originality but my dad also like to make things unique that aren't as common. My personal take on this is that I do like the sound of a full vinyl, but what worries me is that it wouldn't look good based on the aesthetic the car has as is. Thoughts on this idea?

IMHO, I feel that a 4 door looks better with a full vinyl top than a 2 door. I've been considering having a vinyl top installed on my 71 98. I have the trim needed for the install. I just didn't install it when I painted it.
