I read what you refferred me to,so.....just 2 31/2 in dash and a 6 1/2 in the kick panel. How far do they stick out ?, does your foot hit them when using the parking brake ?

I have them in my '68 GTO, no problem with the parking brake.
Who uses the parking brake anyway?
I just make sure mine works because it's the emergency brake but never use it otherwise.

install headers and some nice mufflers on your car. you won't care about speakers.

Mine are not a shallow speaker so mine do get hit by the parking brake pedal. I can either move the brake or not use it....so I don't use it. If you go with a shallow speaker you will not have any issues

i Guess my main concern is.... with just the 2 small ones in the dash, 1 in each kick panel, and no rears or amplifier, will the sound be good enough ?.............. Dear Scr8p : the car will have a 'small' cam , 10.5 to 1 's and flowmasters....... for me that would be enough, but it's MaMa's car, and she needs a radio !

Although I do not recommend cutting virgin metal, my car had already been hacked by the PO. I decided to just reuse the holes and mounted the speakers back in there after painting them to match the interior. Details here:

I have 2 6x9's in the rear doghouse, also.
A true 50x4 amp drives them all and it will crank up loudly!

I guess the next logical question is ...what kind of radio ? also in the dash or glovebox ? Original dash radio ? Mt wife preferrs C D 's (her car), is there a 'cheap' CD that would look good in the dash ?

I just put 2 6-1/2" in the kick panels with an adapter. Doesn't interfere with the emergency brake. Wanted more sound so I put a 5 channel amp in the back with a 10" sub woofer. Sounds great!

If your dash was already cut up like mine you could cut some sheet metal and make a custom piece to fit a standard DIN head unit like I did
