Firestones or goodyears

Can anybody confirm which tire Would have come on a 1970 cutlass back in the day?
I was thinking about maybe getting a set of bias ply

You don't have to sift through a forum, the facts of what tires were available on the '70 Cutlasses are in the 1970 Assembly Manual in the Tire and Wheel section. The manual is available free of charge at Wild About Cars.

If have not joined WAC, I had do some digging through your prior post to find out you have 1970 Cutlass S out of Lansing.

33687=standard G78x14 blackwall
suppliers were Uniroyal,Firestone,BFG,Goodyear&General
Optional P26 code G78x14 whitestripe
suppliers were SEE ABOVE
Optional PK5 code G70x14 blackwall with raised white letters
suppliers were SEE ABOVE less Generals
Optional PX8 code G70x14 whitewall fiberglass belted
suppliers were see PK5
EXPORT code P16 8.25X14 nylon whitewall
supplier Goodyear only

Without your windowsticker were euchered to see what you did have, from the factory

Er, Patrick - you ARE a WAC subscriber (under the same user name). If we have primary source materials available at Wild About Cars, why would you want to transcribe information and put it here, where, you can mistype or even - God forbid - make it up?

Why wouldn't you send someone to the original material? Not to mention all the other information that JohnnyOlds442 might find at WAC that might/would be useful to him.

Heaven forbid we would let someone find another source for info . . .
