Exhaust

I have the X pipe and sounds like a truck. Heard somewhere that Walker mufflers are good. I need to have less sound in the cab and a good sound out back. Want stainless steel. Any suggestions?

I've got Walker Turbo 2.5"s on mine. Very quiet at idle and cruise, push the fun pedal down and they wake up.

Call Gardner exhaust. They make the exact sound exhausts as the car came off the assembly line with. Stainless or regular steel. Finest Olds exhausts made.

Allan, what does that system run? And is it manifold to rear tips?

Are you going to change the X pipe setup to a more stock type or run with the exhaust as it is and just change the mufflers?

I want to remove the X pipe and mufflers as one piece because they are Aluminized, welded and not very old. I think I will cut the pipes past the rear of the mufflers on the upswing over the rear end so someone can maybe reuse them. I want to use true duel exhaust, stainless if possible with a good sounding note. I just don't like the resonating of the exhaust inside the car.

I know the x pipe gives a different note but the drone may be cured just by changing the mufflers.

The mufflers are supposed to be stock. That would be great if it was that simple. I am trying to upload a video of it idling but having trouble.

I run a true dual exhaust (custom) with the Walkers and it's pretty quiet. I can hear my stereo.

I don't understand the security token thing. Do you have a photo sharing site that you can copy the url from and post it?

Eric Gardner would be the one who could give you the quote, based on what you want. It's a complete system from manifolds to tips.

I started a thread on here last week about those stupid security tokens. It is the settings on your computer and has something to do with cookies. I could not post pictures and got that stupid token message. I went in a clicked on enough stuff that it finally worked.
