Deal? or No Deal?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1968-Oldsmob...1f1a75&vxp=mtr

Just when you think you finally find something priced right on E-bay............................................... ...you then read the fine print.

Wow. 264 hits too.
All about the sales I guess.

He could have told the folks to
ask about the rest. I guess he figured
That would go without saying, funny.

This is almost as bad as though, "you are bidding on a picture of so-and-so.... not an actual so-and-so".

"lug nut" for sale

I have seen several "lug nut" sales on E-Bay recently.
Obviously the seller doesn't really want to sell a lug nut, but rather wants to expose his parts car to the E-Bay public. In hopes that people will private message him on other parts from this car.

I'm really surprised that E-Bay hasn't caught on to this yet and shut ads like this down.

I'm with Charlie -- I think eBay has guidelines for ad titles (& content) but they probably won't notice it & start investigating until someone complains

This is exactly what's going on. There are many ads for a "lug nut" or "head light" or "turn signal bulb" or whatever. Just a relatively inexpensive way to advertise parts from a parts car. Ebay has far too many ads they would have to review to police this effectively. Besides, they are STILL making money off the ad.

Geez...my naivety never ceases to amaze me at times. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever have been able to conceive a plan like that to save on advertising!
