electric fuel pump
olds 350 fresh rebuild with the edelbrock heads, had to use an electric fuel pump. the car runs fine, but it dies out on me at least once everytime i drive it and i wait few minutes and it starts back up, i took the air cleaner off when it died this time and there was no fuel getting to carb, but after a few minutes it started back up. my question is what can b the cause ive never dealt with electric fuel pumps. any suggestions would b greatly appreciated

Are you using a relay with the primary voltage coming straight from the battery?
If you don't run a heavy enough wire the load the pump draws and the resistance of the wire could put too much draw on the pump.
I use a relay with the control circuit powered thru the ign. switch and full voltage coming from the bat., a circuit breaker in line, and I ran #10 wiring.
Also for street use you should run a return style fuel system for a constant supply of cool fuel, and a cooler running and quieter running pump. RobbMc for a sender.
A dead head system can build up pressure, have warmer fuel helping the cause vapor lock, and of course put a heavier load on the pump, reducing live and making it noisier.
