electric fuel pump

Don't know if this is the correct place for this but what I like to get is opinions on the quietest electric fuel pump to use. I have a 70 442 rebuilt(not stock) 455. I drive it mostly on the street and some strip use. The fuel pump on it is I believe a mr gasket brand. Red in color with filter attached. Mounted under trunk on rubber mounts. Any good suggestions other than going manual, which I am thinking about.

I put a low pressure Delco pump in the the gas tank in my 87 cutlass. And have Fuel Pressure Regulator by the window washer tank. To finish lowing pressure to carburetor. Never hear it.

There are many complete in tank systems that come with a new fuel tank.
Look up A body in tank fuel pumps.
Good Luck

Same thing I was gonna post, I even believe Rock auto has some comeplete tank/pump conversions. And there are companies that sell kits to switch your current tank to in tank pump. By going in tank, the pump will run cooler, and they are designed to be used constantly, where some of the exterior pumps are race pumps that can overheat and stop working in stop and go traffic or long term cruising.

You must by carefull. RockAuto description says Late Model Engine w/ Fuel Injection That pump will over-come the floats in a carburetor. I just pull out my tank, removed fuel gauge sending unit. Easily mounted a Delco low pressure pump to the fuel pickup. At the time the low pressure Delco pump pressure was still to high for Carburetor. Added a Fuel Pressure Regulator. Add a oil pressure swtich to stop the fuel pump in case of a crash or oil pressure loss. You do not want gas pumping after a crash.

The car will require the correct size supply and return line as well as a non dead head regulator.
The EFI pump pressure is not a problem if the system is built right.

The RockAuto tanks are offered with an EFI pump, or a Carburetor pump, just need to read the discription to pick the right part.

The spectrum pump and tanks look to be very good value.
I know many of the Tanks are still built in Canada but you always have to check.

I use a stock GM in tank pump with an Airmotive return regulator on my "other" hot rod(67 Camaro) and it is silent and works great. I believe the pump is for a 2006 GM truck> The tank is a stainless steel, baffled tank with return line.
