Earliest Casted F-Heads
What is the earliest casted date found on F-heads? My brother has a set of F-heads that have 211 casted on them, which seems very early since the first 1970 W-30's were supposedly not assembled until October 1969.

I guess July 30,1969 is not that early for Olds to have the heads casted, especially since regular production supposedly started in late August. Were these "211" cast dated heads used though out the '70 W-30 production run, or only on the early W-30's? He is selling them and some perspective buyers with later built W-30's are noting these were only installed on the very early W-30's.
I wonder if Oldsmobile was planning on casting any of the W-heads in aluminum, especially since they were big on saving weight and were also planning on lightweight frames for the W-cars, and the fact that Chevy had already used aluminum heads.

The 211s would not likely have been found on the later build cars but I am not going to say it was impossible. I do not know how the Olds factory worked but I could understand a scenario where a pallet of new heads were set in front of a pallet of older heads and used up then back to the older heads. The general rule is that they would not be found on late build cars.
