Earliest Automobiles Picture Thread

I say, who here are interested in the earliest cars?

Post up some pictures and tell us about it.

Mercedes Benz MotorWagen

Back then, this was Top of the Line and the equivalent of a Ferrari or a Benz sports car.

From that of the above:

to today's Benz:

I bet I could fix the first one with the tool I own. Canada's first car was finished same year we became a country - 1867 by Henry Seth Taylor. He started building it in 1860 .

This one is older than either of those by thousands of years.
Not a horseless carriage because horses hadn't evolved yet.
It's an Oldsrock 442, weighs 4 tons, carries 4 passengers, and has dual foot power.

There is a yearly show in Springfield, Mass. In case you didnt know Springfield was a significant car producing city (motorcycles too).

At this years show my son rode in a 1897 Haynes Apperson (pic below).

He is friends with the owners grandson who also owns a Springfield Mass built Rolls Royce, a Bentley (that we both rode in and pic below) , a ~1928 DV-32 Stutz Black Hawk and a Pebble Beach Winning V16 Cadillac. And a garage every guy would die for.

There was also a 1894 Duryea replica that was driven around the show grounds.

hey i got this one, lets compare the 1886 concept mercedes benz car to the latest hybrid mercedes benz car.

Designed to pay recognition to the abundant historic past of Mercedes-Benz, the F-CELL Roadster sensibly incorporates the style functional of the first gasoline-powered vehicle ever designed more than 120 years ago with the cutting-edge electrical multiple engineering of the Modern day. Hazardously located on a set of large-spoke tires influenced by those found on the Benz Obvious Generator Car in 1886, the F-CELL’s as well as fiber body residences an incredibly innovative 1.2kW space system competent of traveling up to 350km on 1 ask for. i reade this one from ridelust site. actually i am thinking if this both same benz parts.

That's because they aren't hosted by C.O. Ken probably had them on his photobucket acct. If you move something around to another folder, or delete it from the pb acct, that breaks the link it would need to display here. Kind of curious to know what that special tool was though.
