Earliest 1970 W-30 build

OK, 'fess up guys. Who's got (or has seen) the earliest 1970 W-30 built? Car must be a documented W-30 (or have overwhelming evidence).

What's the last six digits of the VIN, and what's the build date? Any additional info such as manual vs. automatic and major options would be a bonus.

If you don't want to post your (or someone else's) VIN, then I'd settle for X-ing out the last three digits, like 148xxx.

there's got to be some early September builds, I saw a late September one, I'll see if I have any images, mines 11.18.69 so I'm out.

I saw some production records at the GM Heritage Center and the earliest build was in October.

I was there last Friday with Diego, and he beat me to the punch here! October it is! Same with W31s.

Don't believe you can go by the production numbers either.
I was told every assembly plant started with different numbers assigned to it -
Plant #1 - 100000 and so on
Plant #2 - 200000 and so on
Etc. - - - - -
Have a LS-6 Chevelle with the last 6 of 220450 and a production date of 7/15/70
There are a few in the registry with higher production numbers, but earlier build dates!
That was the reason explained to me! Ours cold be the LAST ONE BUILT!

except that all W30s were built at one plant in Lansing, but it doesn't mean that the fisher body wasn't sitting waiting for a part while another one with a later sequence number was done before it. All the Cowl tags and VINs I have collected of W-30s all seem to be pretty darn close in sequence though - what I mean is my VIN and Sequence number are about equal distance apart as someone else I know who's car was built the same day as mine but in the morning while mine must ahve been at night.

I agree with October being the first month. The earliest '70 W-30 I've seen has a Fisher build date of 10C and a VIN of 163xxx. Mine is a 10D date code, and I know of several others built that week.

I was just hoping someone could find something earlier.

Were all of the w30s special built i.e. specced by customers,or were there ones that were sent to dealers for showroom sale? ---bil
