Here is a link to a dual gate dust cover. My button is yellow but I have a 70, don't know if it's different for a 72 hope this helps you out.

The 70 should have a chrome bezel with a black button. The 71/72 I think went to a black bezel with a yellow button.

The 70 trunk button has a chrome bezel with a black button.

One year only.

This is the trunk release for the 70. Sorry I don't know how to post the picture. Here is a link.

Huh mine looks like the pic with same bezel, must have had the button go bad and and replaced it at some point in time. Then whats the blue button in My442's pic for?

dual gate and trunk release switch

Yes, the black button with the chrome plate with the word "trunk" in black letters at the bottom of the plate(as pictured in the link above) is a 70 only switch. I'm pretty sure that the 71 and 72 was the same shape setup(for the Cutlass at least) with a black button but had a "black" plate with the word "trunk" at the top in white letters. I think the yellow button didn't show up until after 72. Maybe it was a service replacement and all cars after 72 got that.
I'd be interested in looking up the part number on the green button switch. Is it in the Olds parts book? Never seen a green one on an Olds.
The 71/72 Cutlass is the switch in the top left of this pic.
