Reminds me of an old high-wheel bicycle. SICKENING on a car...
The bright side is that you do not need a lift for servicing!

I actually saw one not quite that high but close southbound on I-75 just north of Atlanta a few years ago on the way back from Nats in Dearborn or bringing the Toronado home from Baltimore I forget but it was sad and is burned into my brain

Why do people think this looks cool?

I wonder if the tires on those rims are pneumatic or solid rubber?

Well, the company I work for sold them those rims. The tires are junk 26" tires that they cut up and wrapped around the wheels. The wheels are just for display purposes only. You'll never see them on the road.
That being said, I don't roll with custom rims, I just have to deal with them on a daily basis. I prefer my factory wheels.

I guess they are hard rubber then. I was thinking it would be near impossible to find tires like that.

another guy mold a tire out of plastic and mounted it and the wheel on the back of his van. It's to get customers in the door.
