Does anyone know the history of this Ram Rod

Does anyone know the history of this car? There are so many things that are incorrect it's hard to believe the story. I don't know why you would restore the car with the incorrect hood, fender decals, intake manifold, grille. There's no way it came from Olds engineering this way

Anyone see it cruising the bricks in Flint.

This is Casey Marks' uncle's car.

And look at the comments in the article - one sets the story straight, but the owner continues to believe his BS.

2 things

1 - Someone clarify, was this car sold in 68' or 69'. I'm pretty sure it's a 68' or is it a 68' left over sold in 69'? Someone I'm sure will have documentation on this but I'd say the 69' convertible Hurst Olds was even more rare. 2 built from the factory?

2 - We seem to have overlooked some major key points in this story, first is "never let the truth get in the way of a good story" and second the owners occupation... insurance salesmen. That makes him exempt from speaking the truth, posting the truth or believing the truth.

I think Jack Marks drove it in 68.

There were ZERO 1969 H/O convertibles built from the factory. They were built at Demmer by Hurst (yeah, the 455s got installed at Olds, but the cars were completed by Hurst). There were more than two 69 H/O convertibles built. There were at least three (one of the original two was destroyed in an accident and a replacement was built) and I've heard unsubstantiated rumors as high as five.
