What's it worth

A couple weeks ago I saw mid 60s to late 60s olds sticking out from behind a garage . Probably a Cutlass . I only saw the very front of it. I was thinking of swinging around that way and stopping to see what's up with it. I have no place for it was thinking of flipping it if I can get it cheap enough. Its just a few miles out side the DC Beltway about 1 o'clock.

Where outside the beltway? I might have seen it.

So you want an estimate of worth on a car that may or may not be a Cutlass with no idea of the year, number of doors, drivetrain, or condition?

Sure. It's worth between scrap value and a million bucks.

If I caught a glimpse of an Oldsmobile off of the road and came back to investigate I would hope it would be a full sized B/C body 4 door hardtop. If not a 4 door hardtop then a 2 door, convertible or sedan would do too. If it's a Cutlass then hopefully it's a fastback Cutlass S. Even though I wouldn't be interested in purchasing a Cutlass it would be cool to look at.

Of course, look for rust in all the common areas and if you get the chance pop the hood to see what engine it has.

Let us know what you find out.

Mid 60s is distinctly different from late 60s. Square vs coke bottle.

Value is whatever you are willing to pay. Might be a parts car worth $200 and might be a rare Ram Rod or W machine worth 10s of thousands but all conjecture with the information provided.

Right now it is the equivalent of saying "how far is up".

Its more like saying "I want to build a house, how much will it cost".

There's a lot of rust in that part of the country.
You'll need to pull the car out and visually look it over from top to bottom to make sure you aren't in the negatives.
The car is worth -$200 to $2500 depending on what it is and what is still on the car, and in sellable condition.
Word of advice. If you don't know what kind of car it is now then it isn't worth the trouble. I've bought cars knowing what I was doing and I still lost out in time and money.
