i convinced a friend 2 put 308 or 323 rear gears in his 71 cutlass hes ready now and i cant find them any where!!!!! ive googled and binged with no luck! can some1 please point me in the right direction!! if they dont make them anymore is it safe 2 use used gears?? thanks again

 

Did you check Richmond Gears? I had to put a good used set of 3.91 gears in mine.

 

I have a nice set of 3.08 gears here for an 8.5" rear end. $65 shipped.

 

all i found for richmond gears was 355-456 i did find a off brand 336, i found a bunch of 308s for 8.5 rears but none for a 70 type O rear, ive looked so much my head hurts!!

In 1971 Olds used a "corporate" rear end. Gears for it should be as easy to find as they are for a Chevy.

 

I believe what they called 'corporate' back then was everything BUT Chevy!!
