diy roll over jig

have any of you built one of these roll over jigs out of wood that i'm seeing on youtube? looks like they're working just fine but would like to hear from someone that has done so. a rotisserie was offered to me without me asking for one, because i had no clue he owned one, but when i went to ask for it, it might be harder to get than it's worth. so, if i can just build me something, then i'm all for it and have the skills. since i'm not going to be doing car after car, a simple wood roll over jig would most likely be more suitable for my application. if i had a big shop to store one, i would build a proper machine, but i'm limited to space. once this jig is done, it will be pulled apart, or maybe even sold to the next diyer that needs it.

A rotisserie is far superior to any rollover jig.
I my case, I bought a used rotisserie for $550 on E-Bay and sold it four years later for $500 to someone on this forum.
The guy I got it from had just done a 69 Camaro with it, and swore he wouldn't do another body off restoration.
After I got my body back on the frame, I felt the same way.

I have used both, I have sold my rotisserie and have used my tip over jig at least a dozen times on many cars , I only have a 5 bay shop and dont have room to store something I only use for a couple of weeks year. the jig is simple to make and holds the car up straight for finish welding floor pans , and painting . i use it to store bodies out of the way when doing the frames before I finish sand and gap panels . i just paper the frame and away you go

thank you sir for your reply, any chance i can get a pic of your design, that you know works? i'm leaning this way and if built right, it will be just as sturdy as steel, and like you said, easy to store and in my case, just take it back apart and reuse the lumber elsewhere when needed, me needing to flip a car on it's side isn't going to happen every year. my guess is i have about a week to receive the floor pan, another week to get it put in, so i have a couple of weeks before i need to stand the car on its side. i don't want to pester the guy who volunteered his rotisseri, but hopefully he has hands on his machine at that time, if not i will just build this roll over jig. i have a lot of the material i will need already in my garage. couple of longer bolts with the correct thread pattern for bolting to the body is about all i would need.

i talked to my friend today at work. he said that he should have the rotisserie in my possession within the next week. his friend that has it, has a car that has been sitting on it for 3 years, he is going to take the car off the rotisserie and just put it on block for now. good thing is, i don't have to worry about building anything, i shall be able to roll my car about the same time i'm ready to finish welding the floor pan.
